This includes packaging for Debian based distros and has been tested with lintian. There is one warning, although it's not especially important:

W: pybitmessage: binary-without-manpage usr/bin/pybm

I'm currently planning on merging this in on Thursday or Friday after people have had time to git pull the existing changes so that any problems will more clearly have a particular cause.

Ok. I might also do some RPM packaging for Fedora/RedHat.

Also it might be worth trying to get pybitmessage sponsored as an official Debian project. That way it would automatically end up in the Ubuntu software centre, and related distros. As I understand it, getting new software into Debian is not easy, but because bitmessage might be useful for Freedombox and security-oriented distros that might give it added credibility, although I expect that they would want to see some kind of security audit done first.
