I don't think OTR fits in there. OTR is encryption protocol, not a protocol like jabber or messenger like pidgin.

TorChat2 will include OTR. Crypocat includes OTR.

Hide sender / hide receiver depends on the underlying protocol/messenger. OTR won't mess that up.

OTR should be on the same level as Hide Sender Hide Receiver etc.

  • Does bitmessage use OTR? No.
  • Does Skype use OTR? No.
  • Does Cryptocat use OTR? Yes.
  • Does Pidgin use OTR? Available as a plugin.
